Top 5 Vegan Foods To Eat For Healing Leaky Gut

Leaky Gut has become an epidemic in our society. Most people have it, and a lot of people are finding out what it is. People want to know how to cure it, so I’ve made a few videos on Healing Leaky Gut While Vegan, and wrote a few articles. Yes, these are vegan foods, and I do specialize in Vegan Health, but I have heard from people like Dr. Axe that homemade bone broth can help in healing leaky gut, as well, but there are vegan alternatives!

Top 5 Foods For Healing Leaky Gut

  1. Raw Organic Sauerkraut

Raw Organic Sauerkraut is especially great for healing leaky gut because it is fermented, therefor has many great probiotics present in it. Probiotics are essential for healing leaky gut because our guts (intestines and stomachs) have been attacked by the anti-bacterial soaps, and antibiotics prescribed to us by doctors every time we are sick. Our guts need good bacteria (probiotics), so sauerkraut is great for that. The four probiotics in sauerkraut are: Leuconostoc mesenteroides, Lactobacillus brevis, Pediococcus pentosaceus and Lactobacillus plantarum. It is always best, and cheaper, to make your own.

    2. Raw Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is another fermented food, but this is something you can use in many different things. Apple Cider Vinegar is amazing for so many different ailments, general health, and outer body health. Bragg Apple Cider Vinegar is the best one to get. If you have a Sprouts near you, they have their own brand that is high quality, like Bragg, and it is $1 or $2 cheaper. You can use Apple Cider Vinegar in your water and salad dressings! I especially love Apple Cider Vinegar in this soup! I think I should do a whole article on Apple Cider Vinegar because it is that good!

    3. My Vegan Leaky Gut Smoothie!

A little while ago, I made a smoothie recipe specifically for healing leaky gut! It is alkalizing, healing, and delicious! Check out the recipe here.

    4. Parsley

You may think, “Parsley?” Yes! Parsley has glutamine, a nutrient also present in bone broth, which helps heal collagen, and the lining of your intestines.I would suggest eating it raw in salad, or in a smoothie, like the smoothie I recommended above!

     5. Coconut Oil

Coconut oil has so many uses, and is so good for you! It is one of the healthiest oils, and is the best one to cook with! This is a healthy fat, and helps to reduce inflammation, which is what occurs during Leaky Gut. I recommend only using Coconut Oil in cooking, rubbing some on your skin in the morning, and after you shower, so it will cross into your bloodstream, and have positive effects on your whole body!
