Indian Curry Vegan Bean Burgers

Bean burgers are the bomb, especially when they’re packed full of protein and actually fill you up! The burgers definitely do that! I bought a Burger Press here, and received it within a few days. It makes it so much easier to make these, but you can make them by hand, as well. If you do use the burger press, your burgers will be thick, like mine! Alright, enough chitchat, let’s make these burgers!

Gluten-Free, Soy-Free, Nut-Free, Oil-Free

Yields: 4 Burgers (using burger press); about 6 smaller burgers

What You Need:

Food Processor

Baking Pan

1 15oz BPA-Free can Organic Great Northern Beans (or any other bean)

3/4 cup Organic Quinoa, uncooked

I small to medium onion

1/3 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

1/2 Serrano Pepper, or to taste

1 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin

1 1/2 tsp Curry Powder

1/2 tsp Chili Powder

Pepper and Salt to taste

Instructions:

Cook quinoa as directed. Preheat oven to 375° F (or 200° C). Combine all ingredients in food processor until smooth. You can taste it to see if you need to add anything else.

Line the pan with parchment paper, and start using the burger press to place them on the pan, or use your hands to pack them. IF using your hands, you may need to wet them with water between each burger.

Bake the burgers for 30min. Flipping is not required.

When they are done, they should be firm.

Enjoy!

I hope you enjoy this recipe!

This recipe goes great with: Super Easy Homemade Ketchup, Healthy Vegan Spiralized Hash Browns/Curly Fries, Mint Chutney, and Raw & Organic Sauerkraut!

I love eating the burgers on collard wraps to be gluten free!
