At the end of August I took a plane to San Diego, CA. I had two months of Air BnBs lined up, and didn’t know what I was going to do for fun, except go to the beach. I was ready to ride the bus everywhere, and use one of the bikes at my first Air BnB to get everywhere close. Well, my Air BnB host didn’t mention that the bikes were damaged, and I had to wait until he got some more. That took about 2 weeks, but in the meantime, I walked, rode the bus, and hitched a ride with my new friend to new and exciting places. I met new people, started doing more vegan activism with new friends, and really grew as a woman.
The second month, my friend came, and we had a blast. She loved it so much, she wanted to stay another month. She loved getting tan, trying different restaurants, and she even tried eating vegan as much as possible! The fact that Oreos are vegan and that we had a vegan fast food place right down the street really helped her along the way. She even started a blog! At the end of the second month, I started dating my van life boyfriend.
It was a little tense with my parents, at first, but now I’m going to see them on Christmas Eve (and a few days before), and he’s invited, too! We are now living together (in the van), and I couldn’t ask for anything more. It’s exciting, freeing, and definitely an experience. We are now in LA, and who knows where we’ll be in a few months.
Videos and articles are coming soon about being vegan van lifers, the pros and cons, how to cook things in a van, etc. I hope to share as much as I can about this new journey. Of course, I will continue writing articles/filming videos on holistic health topics, vegan lifestyle, and recipes (mostly articles).
I want to thank all of my supporters from the bottom of my heart! If you haven’t already, you should follow my blog (if you’re a WordPress user), get your free info on going vegan (for new and old vegans) here, and subscribe to my YouTube channel! You can also follow me on Social Media to see more updates from me. Everything is @allysveganvibes.
Also, I am creating a Vegan “Bone Broth” supplement. A Kickstarter will be live very soon. If you would like to pre-order a 30-serving bottle, you can through the Kickstarter, once it’s live.
